DDC HISTORY

In September 1976 two independent contractors, Matthews Well Drilling and Ziegler Well Drilling combined to form a new company –Diversified Drilling Corporation.  The name chosen reflected a desire to increase their scope of work, expanding from a base of residential water well construction into commercial and municipal drilling and related work.

In February of 2000, Ed Finch purchased DDC. Mr. Finch’s leadership began a new era of Company growth, beginning with the acquisition of Well Water Systems in October 2000.  This successful Fort Myers drilling firm had appropriately sized equipment and an experienced workforce. Shortly thereafter, Meridith Environmental Services was also added to the company. This highly regarded water supply company was started by Danny Meridith whose father, Emery Meridith had also founded one of the premier water well drilling companies in Florida.

Most of the key people with each of the companies have remained with the merged company and continue the fine reputation and experience that characterized the predecessor companies individually.

This company now has the capability of providing the experienced personnel and resources necessary to assure the timely and expert completion of large, complex projects simultaneously, throughout the entire state of Florida and beyond

Water is one of the necessities of life, and like many states, Florida is faced with the need to provide potable water to increasing numbers of people, to monitor existing water sources, and to safely dispose of wastewater.  By continuing to expand our capabilities and expertise, DDC will be an important part of the effort to accomplish these goals. Its excellent reputation in the groundwater industry testifies to the hard work and dedication of the people who make up Diversified Drilling Corporation.
